Nokia X30

Last week an HMD Global VP revealed that the Nokia X30 is “coming soon to India”. Now we have an exact date – the phone will go on sale on February 20, which is Monday next week. The X30 was originally announced in September and you can check out our written and video reviews. Highlights of the phone include that its body is made out of 100% recycled aluminum and 65% recycled plastics, the retail box is 94% recycled paper.

On the more technical side of things, the phone comes with a promise of 3 OS updates and 3 years of security patches (note: the X30 launched with Android 12). There is a 6.43” 90Hz AMOLED display on the front (FHD+), a Snapdragon 695 inside, a 50MP main and 13MP ultra wide cameras on the back as well as a 4,200mAh battery with 33W wired charging.

There’s no word on pricing yet, but the Nokia X30 launched alongside the G60. The G60 already launched in India (back in November) with a price tag of ₹ 30,000. Considering that the global price of the X30 was 65% higher than that of the G60, we expect the Indian price of the X30 to be in the ₹ 50,000 range. We will find out for certain next week.
