Garmin has launched a new smartwatch in its Vivomove series. It is dubbed the Garmin Vivomove Trend. The latest offering is a hybrid smartwatch from the wearables maker. For those unaware, a hybrid smartwatch is an analogue watch with smart functions giving it a traditional appearance.
The Garmin Vivomove Trend has a circular
dial with an LCD screen. It looks like a traditional watch with real ticking
hands and a full-dial hidden display that appears whenever required, The
smartwatch features a stainless steel bezel and a domed glass. It is
water-resistant up to 5 meters.
On the fitness front, the Garmin Vivomove
Trend is equipped with a heart-rate monitor, respiratory rate, pulse ox blood
oxygen saturation sensor, and women’s menstrual cycle tracker. It is also
capable of monitoring body energy, all-day stress, sleep, and hydration. The
wearable device supports up to ten timed activities.
The Garmin Vivomove Trend packs convenient
features like smart notifications, connected GPS, text response, calendar,
weather alerts, music control, and Garmin pay. It supports Bluetooth
connectivity and ANT+. The smartwatch is claimed to last up to 5 days and can
be topped up via a proprietary charger and also QI-certified wireless charging
pads. The Garmin Vivomove Trend is
offered in Slate/Black, Peach Gold/Ivory, Cream Gold/French Gray and
Silver/Mist Gray colours. It carries a price tag of US$ 269 and is already
available for purchase in the US.
