Xiaomi Pad 6 series

Xiaomi, has not been very regular in the tablet market. The company launched the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 in 2018. After this device, we didn’t get any tablets from the company until 2021. Of course, the 2021 Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 released in August last year was engineered by the high demand for large-screen products during the pandemic. Before the release of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Xiaomi used to focus on mid-range tablets.  However, with the Pad 5, the company adds some flagship features. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has been on the market for about 18 months now and we are still waiting for its successor. There are now reports of the Xiaomi Pad 6 and this device is already in testing in Europe.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series also comes in two versions, the standard version and the high-end version. The standard version is code-named pipa, and the high-end version is code-named liuqin. These two devices are likely to appear at the MWC 2023 exhibition. At the same time, the global versions of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be released at the same time.

In terms of the specs of these two tablets, it is expected that the Xiaomi Pad 6 standard version will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip. However, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro will use a different chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. According to previous reports, the Xiaomi Pad 6 series adopts a full-screen, non-porous and narrow-frame design, with a size between 11-12 inches, dual rear cameras, and a pre-installed MIUI for Pad system.

The new Xiaomi Pad 6 series already have a couple of certifications and the company will have an entry-level model in this series. This device already have the EEC certification and it has four models with model numbers  L81, L81A, L82 and L83. This should correspond to the Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro, Pad 6 Pro 5G and a Redmi tablet. At the moment, the launch date of this device remains at MWC 2023. However, it is important to note that there are no official reports from Xiaomi regarding this tablet. All we have at the moment are just rumours and speculations. Thus, there may be surprises and changes here and there but the basics specs will probably remain the same as the rumours.
