At CES 2023, TCL unveiled a wide range of products ranging from smartphones to its first 2-in1 Windows laptop and of course, smart TVs, among others. The company is in the news again as it has taken the wraps off a new Android tablet. The TCL Tab 8 LE is expected to be sold in the US this week via wireless carriers T-Mobile and Metro.
The TCL Tab 8 LE packs a. 8-inch LCD
display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Compared to most tablets in the
market, the Tab 8 LE is relatively compact with a dimension of 197x125x9mm and
it weighs 310 grams. The slate is powered by a MediaTek MT8766 quad-core
processor backed by 3GB RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage onboard which
can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.
Android tablets are not known to feature
impressive cameras and the Tab 8 LE isn’t different. The tablet packs a single
5MP camera at the front and rear aspects. Keeping the lights on is a generous
4080mAh battery while IT charges via a USB-C port which means you’ll get some
level of fast charging. The slate features a single nan-SIM slot but there is
also WiFi connectivity available. The tablet also comes with a 3.5mm headphone
port and supports WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and 4G LTE network.
As for the price, the TCL Tab 8 LE is
priced at just US$ 159 which is pretty cheap. It will be available on T-Mobile and
Metro in the US but there is no word yet if the slate will be available outside
the US.
