Honor recently confirmed that the Honor X9a 5G will be unveiled on Jan. 4, 2023, in Malaysia. However, the X9a 5G is now listed with all its specifications on Honor’s website for the Middle East market. Unfortunately, the listing does not mention the price of the device. It was previously believed that the X9a would be a rebranded version of the Honor X40, which is exclusively available in China. However, the official listing reveals that the X9a packs slightly different specs as compared to the X40.
The Honor X9a 5G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED
display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect
ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit colors. For security, it has an
under-display fingerprint scanner. On the front, the Honor X9a has a
16-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, the device has a 64-megapixel primary
camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel
depth assist lens. The phone runs on the Magic UI 6.1-based Android 12 OS.
The Snapdragon 695 chip is present under
the hood of the Honor X9a 5G. It has 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of
native storage. It will house a 5,100mAh battery with 40W charging. It offers
connectivity options, such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS,
NFC, and a USB-C port. The X9a measures 161.6 x 73.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 175
grams.
The price of the Honor X9a 5G is likely to
be confirmed through its Malaysian launch on Jan. 4. The device will be
available in three colors, such as Titanium Silver, Emerald Green and Midnight
Black.
