Xiaomi has released the Mi TV ES70 with a 70-inch 4K display and supports multi-partition backlighting. The TV offers a display resolution of 3840 x 2160p with a 97.8% screen ratio. It also achieves a decent professional display-level color accuracy and DCI-P3 94% wide color gamut. It supports a 1.07 billion color display and MEMC motion supplementary frame.
One of the highlights of the Xiaomi TV
ES70 is its multi-partition backlight technology. It supports 4,096-level
dimming with a peak brightness of 700 nits. Its embedded super-resolution
algorithm helps to analyze the picture in real time and reduce noise. The TV
performs excellently even when showing a low-resolution movie as it can achieve
up to 4K resolution under such a scenario. The TV uses the MediaTek MT9638 A55
quad-core processor with 2GB+32GB of memory and storage combination.
In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi TV
ES70 supports dual-band 2,4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and supports Dolby and DTS dual
decoding. It has a dual Air duct design with two 12.5W high-power audio
systems. Far-field voice control using Xiao Ai is also supported on the TV. It
can also be linked to the Xiaomi smart ecosystem and is compatible with
Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac for screen projection.
The Xiaomi TV ES70 has three HDMI
interfaces, two USB ports, an AV input, a network port, and an Antenna
interface among others. The TV is being retailed in China at a price of 4,499
yuan (US$ 621).
