A recent IDC report on global PC shipments for the third quarter of 2022 showed that Lenovo continues to lead the global PC market with an overall market share of 22.7%. This is despite the fact that the market share is lower than the 23.1% market share in the same period last year. Despite Lenovo having a considerable advantage in the field of personal computers, the company continues to develop new innovative products. The company recently teased its upcoming e-ink tablet via the Lenovo YOGA Weibo page.
The teaser shows that the tablet will be
the world’s first YOGA e-ink tablet and it will be called YOGA Paper. The
teaser also details the tablet to pack an expansive 10.3-inch natural
light-sensing eye protection screen. It will also come with a YOGA-inspired
stylus and will support cross-platform content synchronization.
The company is yet to release further
details about the product. However, Lenovo’s consumer marketing director had
earlier leaked the retail box and live images of the YOGA Paper e-ink tablet.
The earlier leaked images show that the design of the YOGA Paper is similar to
that of the conventional tablet with some modifications.
The back cover of the e-ink slate has two
different partitions, one side is set with undulating stripes, and the “YOGA”
logo is printed in this area. The second half of the back panel adopts a
relatively smooth finish. There is also a slot for the stylus pen and the area
is expected to support magnetic retention. As for the display, the YOGA Paper
is equipped with a flat screen with wider bezels on the edges. The bezels on
the two longer sides of the frame are wider.
As far as the overall product design is
concerned, the YOGA Paper ink tablet should be a device suitable for long-term
writing scenarios. However, given that there is no exact official product
information yet, the actual device specifications and pricing are yet to be
confirmed at this time.
