Belkin has announced the release of the first official MagSafe Car Charging Mount with 15W charging. The new Belkin accessory is designed for in-vehicle use and is called the Boost Charge Pro Wireless Car Charger with MagSafe. It is the first magnetic charging solution for vehicles that delivers 15W charging. It can be used to charge MagSafe-enabled iPhones.
The Belkin Boost Charge Pro Wireless Car
Charger has a design that snugly attaches to the vent inside a car. It can be
placed in either landscape or portrait mode and connects via a USB-C cable and
a CLA charger which can be plugged into the car’s lighter socket. The Belkin
Boost Charge Pro with MagSafe is priced at US$ 100 and is exclusively available
from the Apple Online Store. Its official launch is on November 14 but it can
be pre-ordered before that date.
There are a few other products that have
been added to the Apple online store. There are two new Joby-branded MagSafe
mounts priced at US$ 70 and US$ 220 respectively. The first is the GripTight
GorillaPod mount while the second is the MagSafe Vlogging Kit. The Joby MagSafe
Vlogging Kit comes with a stand, a microphone, and LED lighting.
As per the Boost Charge Pro with MagSafe,
its US$ 100 price tag may seem on the high side, as there are several similar
accessories costing as low as US$ 19. The coming days will determine the degree of
acceptance of the product in the market.
