During today's event, Xiaomi announced a slew of new products, including the Xiaomi Book Air 13 - a 13.3-inch laptop with an OLED screen and the latest CPUs from Intel. The Book Air 13 comes in two main configurations, one with a Core i7-1250U CPU and one with i5-1230U. Either way, you will be getting 16GB of LPDDR5 5200MHz memory by default along with 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The OLED display measures 13.3" in
diagonal and has a 2880 x 1800px resolution for a 16:10 aspect ratio. It also
has a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3 for extra protection. That last bit is somewhat
important since the hinge can flip the touchscreen around. The display is Dolby
Vision and HDR 500 certified, supports DC dimming against PWM and covers 100%
of the DCI-P3 color space.
With the Dolby Vision screen come a pair
of Dolby Atmos stereo speakers aided by two tweeter speakers. Connectivity-wise,
the device offers two Thunderbolt 4 connectors and a 3.5mm audio jack. The
whole system is powered by 58.3Wh battery charging over a 65W adapter, likely
PD-compliant. The notebook's body is just 12mm thick, weighs around 1.2kg and
only comes in white. We don't know if we are going to see Xiaomi's updated Book
Air 13 outside of China.
