Sony announced the arrival of the A7R V full-frame mirrorless camera in PH. It has the new Bionz XR processor, 61MP resolution, and more! The Sone A7R V has the same 61MP resolution as the A7R IV but with the better and more up-to-date Bionz XR processor that supports 8K 24p video, superior AI autofocus, and improved shake reduction. The Sony A7R V is also the company's first camera to have "Human Posture Estimation" technology. It is a system that can detect 20 different places on a person's body to determine where the eye should be. This will then improve the speed and accuracy of autofocus.
This enables it to precisely monitor a
person who may be moving or turning away from the camera and to continue
tracking them even if they temporarily vanish from view. Additionally, it may
now select from a variety of subjects as well such as cars, railroads,
prairies, animals, and insects. For stabilization, Sony improved the In-Body
Stabilization system to 8 stops from 5.5 stops previously.
It can also shoot 8K videos at 24 fps, 4K
videos at 30 fps with cropping/line skipping, or 6.2K videos without pixel
binning or line skipping. It also has improved thermal management that allows
for continuous 4K recording and up to 30 minutes of 8K footage.
Additionally, 10-bit 4K video can be
captured without cropping at up to 30 fps. 60 fps is available but at 1.2x
crop. You can also take 16-bit RAW video to external recorders at up to 4K 60
fps. It also has a screen that supports full articulation as well. It can shoot
photos at 10 fps and can now shoot compressed RAW photos. The buffer can handle
up to 583 shots for a better burst shooting experience.
Other features include the 9.44 million
dot Electronic View Finder, dual card slots for both CFexpress Type-A and
UHS-II cards. It also has the new Pixel Shift Multishot for composing 16 shots
into a single 240.8MP photo using AI processing. You need a tripod for this
though.
Sony AR7 V priced at PHP 239,999 The Sony AR7 V full-frame
mirrorless camera is now available for pre-order via CameraHaus. The pre-order
bundle includes a Peak Design Slide and NP-FZ100 battery pack. You can also get
up to PHP 13K off select Sony lenses and accessories. The pre-order period is
from October 28 to November 27, 2022.
