OSOM Solana Saga

OSOM Solana Labs subsidiary Solana Mobile has revealed the full specifications of its upcoming Crypto-centric smartphone. Former Essential employees with OSOM Solana Labs subsidiary Solana Mobile originally teased the Solana Saga crypto phone back in June 2022. Months later, more information has been brought to light including the ceramic back, stainless steel frame and titanium accents. It has a Seed Vault where private keys are stored in a hardware secure element. It comes with the dApp Store which the organization says offers an improved user experience across dApps and lets users sign transactions using the user's fingerprint scanned with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone comes with a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2400 x 1080 resolution. Inside is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 octa-core processor, Adreno next-generation GPU, 12GB LPPDR5 RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, microSD card expansion and 4,110mAh battery with Qi wireless charging. At the back is a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with LED flash while in front is the 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera.

Other features include IP 68 water and dust resistance, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, USB-C and NFC. The phone measures 164 x 75.3 x 8.4mm and weighs 247 grams. The Solana Saga is now available for pre-order in the US, Canada, UK and Europe with a USD 100 (around PHP 5.9K) refundable deposit which be subtracted from the final cost. FoneArena suspects that the phone will have an SRP of USD 1,000.
