Oppo has expanded the Oppo K9x Smart TV series by launching a new screen size — 50-inch— in China. The company previously launched the same television in a 65-inch size. The new TV boasts features such as 4K resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, a Quad-core MediaTek chipset, and more. It is claimed to come with a peak brightness of 280nits and delta E≈2. Let’s take a look at its specifications and pricing.
The new Oppo K9x 50-Inch Smart TV comes
with some impressive features for the price. It has a 50-in screen with an
LED-backlit panel and offers a full 4K resolution. It is claimed to have 10.7
billion colors and blue-light reducing technology to minimize strain on your
eyes. The TV, according to Oppo, has a display-level color accuracy in the same
ballpark as flagship smart TVs. It allows frame-by-frame improvement of image
quality in all scenarios and features an AI PQ algorithm that the company
developed on its own.
The K9x Smart TV has a maximum brightness
of only 280 nits, so if you were expecting to watch HDR content, you’ll be
disappointed. Further, the TV is powered by a Quad-core MediaTek chipset paired
with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also comes with two integrated
speakers with a 20W power rating. Additionally, it supports Dolby sound and
functions as a screen sound.
On the software front, the TV runs the
latest ColorOS TV and comes without any bloatware. The OPPO K9x Smart TV can be
controlled using the Xiaobu voice assistant. Talking about connectivity
options, the device has three HDMI ports and an Ethernet port. In addition, it
supports dual-band Wi-Fi for a smooth wireless connection.
The new OPPO K9x 50-Inch Smart TV has been launched in China as of now. The TV
has been priced at 1399 yuan (US$ 207) but as part of the launch offer, it will
available at 1299 yuan (US$ 192). The Oppo TV is available for purchase
