LG will start selling its latest laptops under the LG Ultra PC brand in Europe later this month. The Ultra PC series comes in two sizes – 14 inches and 16 inches. They are powered by AMD’s Ryzen processors and offer 16:10 IPS panels. The new laptops have a lightweight chassis and come with other features.
The LG Ultra PC 14U70Q and LG Ultra PC
16U70Q both sports a matte finish for their displays and are both premium
offerings. They come with a straightforward design in addition to the modern
processor. The Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U options are available for the
new laptops. The AMD Ryzen 7 5825U is an 8-core model with 16 threads capable
of 4.5GHz CPU clock speeds. The new LG Ultra PC series have long-lasting and
durable batteries. Users are assured of up to 21 hours of battery life for the
72Wh batteries.
The Ultra PC 14U70Q offers 300 nits of
brightness while the 16-inch model peaks at 250 nits. Both laptops output 1,200
pixels resolution and offer 16GB of LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM. The internal
storage available is up to 1TB. There are HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C ports and the
14-inch model is up to 300g lighter than the bigger laptop.
Full pricing details for the new LG lineup
of the Ultra PC series are not available at this time. The models will be
available within this month and the starting price is € 1,199 (US$ 1,204) for the
14-inch model while the 16-inch laptop starts at € 1,399 (US$ 1,404). There are no
details yet on the global availability of the new LG Ultra PC series laptops.
