The Samsung Galaxy M13 was unveiled quietly, an affordable 4G phone. For a while now we’ve been hearing that a 5G model is on the way and now we have official confirmation, courtesy of Amazon India. Additionally, the Galaxy M13 4G is launching in India as well, although it has a new look and a bigger battery, so it’s not quite the same phone.
The Samsung Galaxy M13 5G will launch on
July 14 (Thursday next week). It has a different design compared to its 4G
sibling – the rear camera has only two modules (if we had to guess, the ultra
wide is gone) and they are flush with the back, no bump. Amazon doesn’t reveal
many details, but it does list support for eleven 5G bands, up to 12GB of RAM
(virtual, of course, actual RAM capacity unknown) and a 5,000mAh battery (same
as the 4G phone).
The 4G model is also coming on the 14th
with 12GB of virtual RAM and a 6,000mAh battery. This is noteworthy as the
international model has only 5,000mAh capacity. Has anything else changed for
the launch in India? Well, the design has – there are still three modules on
the back, but the bump is gone.
Leaked specs suggest that the Galaxy M13
5G will be powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset, which will deliver more
processing power than the Exynos 850, not just next-gen connectivity. Also,
there will be two memory configurations: 4/64GB and 6/128GB with a microSD slot
available. Rumors confirm that the ultra wide camera will be cut, leaving only
the 50MP main module and a 2MP helper. The notched selfie camera on the front
will drop down to 5MP (from 8MP). A bigger downgrade will be the screen – from
6.6” FHD+ to 6.5” HD+.
We’ll have to wait until next week to get
an official confirmation on those as well as pricing info. Follow the Source

Galaxy A13, Galaxy A13 5G and Galaxy F13, which are similar to the A13 duo.
