Samsung has finally shared an official launch date for its long-rumored Galaxy XCover6 Pro rugged smartphone. The device will launch on July 13 at an invite-only online event and it will be joined by the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro rugged tablet.
The XCover6 Pro would be the first rugged
Galaxy smartphone in a while and will offer a removable battery for quick swaps
on the go. Based on leaked renders the Galaxy XCover6 Pro will bring a typical
XCover series phone design with a hardened plastic shell with an IP68 rating.
The phone is said to carry a 6.56-inch
screen with a waterdrop notch screen, Snapdragon 778G chipset with 6GB RAM and
128GB internal storage and a 50MP primary cam alongside an unspecified
secondary module. The leaks also mention a 4,500 mAh battery capacity too.
We don’t have much info on the tablet for
now but the teasers show a ruggedized body and active stylus support. We don’t
expect the tablet to bring a removable battery.
