Coolpad just introduced a new entry-level smartphone for its domestic market. It is called Coolpad Cool 20s and has dual cameras, 5G support and a relatively big battery with some fast charging. The Coolpad Cool 20s is powered by a Dimensity 700 chipset. It has 128 GB storage and three RAM options - 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB, expandable with up to 5 GB more.
The display is a run-of-the-mill 6.58” LCD
with a waterdrop notch and Full HD+ resolution. There’s also a 90 Hz refresh
rate. The dual cameras on the back are a 50 MP f/1.8 main shooter + a 2 MP
macro shooter. The front-facing camera is listed as 8 MP.
The phone comes with CoolOS 2.0, based on
Android 11. Connectivity options also include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11
ac/a/b/g/n both on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and all the basic 5G bands. The battery’s
capacity is 4,500 mAh and supports 18W fast charging, and users in China will
get a charger in the retail box. Coolpad offers the Cool 20s in Blue, Black,
and White. Starting price is CNY 999, which is just south of US$ 150.
