Mechanical keyboards are already dominating the market for anybody worth the salt among PC users. The benefits are just superior to classical membrane keyboard, no matter if for gaming or just typing. There are plenty of solid brands making such keyboards and Keychron are certainly among them. They have recently updated their “Q” series with new models and one addition is just on the way. Keychron Q5 looks quite promising and will be soon available for example from the experts at Mechkeys.
Like all the Keychron Q series models the
new one will have high-quality CNC machined aluminum alloy frame and 98-key
compact layout. Added to that will be the padded gasket structure with
hot-swappable PCB design and programmable volume knob. It also support QMK/VIA
programming for remapping both the keys and the multi-functional knob. The
keyboard supports both Windows and Mac systems and there are even additional
keycaps available for the latter (CMD, OPT). Stock ones are the high-quality
PBT ones.
Keychron Q5 should be arriving by the end
of April or in early May and will pleasantly suprise with the pricing too.
Officially available at US$ 179 it offers quite some bang for your buck. And you
can also choose from three different color variants – black, blue and gray. So
if you are looking for a compact mechanical keyboard with extra programmable
