Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro/Pro+


Xiaomi is gearing up to announce its Redmi K50 Pro and Pro+ next week on March 17 and we now get an official look at the back design of both phones as well as confirmation on their chipsets. The K50 Pro and Pro+ will both feature a new “nano-microcrystalline” back design with sparkling ice-crystal elements. Redmi’s official Weibo account posted a video that showcases the effect in more detail.

Both Redmi K50 Pro and Pro+ will bring a 108 main camera with OIS as well as two additional sensors all housed in a rectangular cutout. Xiaomi also confirmed Redmi K50 Pro will bring MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 chipset while the Pro+ will opt for the more powerful Dimensity 9000 platform.

In related news both Redmi K50 Pro and Pro+ were listed on Gekbench database. The K50 Pro (Xiaomi 22041211AC) is listed with 12GB RAM and Android 12 on the software side. The phone managed 932-points in the single-core test and 3,690-points on the multi-core test. Redmi K50 Pro+ (Xiaomi 22021211RC) is also armed with 12GB RAM and managed a more impressive 1,242-points and 4,150-point outing.
