Samsung’s Galaxy A-series will continue to be a main driver of growth for the Korean brand in 2022 and one of the more highly anticipated members is the Galaxy A53 5G. The device has been subject to numerous leaks and certification listings and the latest one comes from Google’s own Play Console.
The listing reveals an image of the
phone’s front as well as some key specs. Galaxy A53 5G will be powered by
Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1200 chipset bearing the S5e8825 model number. The
yet-to-be-released SoC is expected to serve as a successor to the Exynos 1080
and will reportedly feature two high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked
at 2.4Ghz and six Cortex-A55 ones working at 2.0GHz. The GPU department will be
handled by the Mali G68.
Elsewhere, the A53 will bring an FHD+
resolution (1080 x 2400px) screen with a punch-hole cutout, 8GB RAM and Android
12 with OneUI 4.0 on top. Past Galaxy A53 leaks have suggested a 6.52-inch
sized display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 64MP main cam on the back alongside
a 12MP ultrawide snapper and two 5MP auxiliary modules and a 5,000 mAh battery
with 25W charging.
