Motorola just announced its latest global flagship dubbed the Moto Edge 30 Pro. It comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, two 50MP cameras on the back and a 60MP selfie shooter. While mostly based on the Edge X30, the Edge 30 Pro has a different battery and slightly altered dimensions.
The screen of the Moto Edge 30 Pro is a
6.7” P-OLED with Full HD+ resolution. It comes with 144Hz refresh rate, touch
sampling rate is 360Hz, but with a stylus, it gets down to “just” 240Hz. The
10-bit screen supports HDR+ and is adapted to the DCI-P3 color gamut. RAM
options are 8 and 12GB, storage goes in three tiers - 128/256/512GB. The rear
camera setup is identical to the Edge X30 - a 50MP main shooter comes with an
f/1.8 aperture, while a second 50MP sensor sits behind the ultrawide F/2.2
lens. There is also a 2MP depth camera.
Motorola launched the Edge 30 Pro with the
60MP selfie camera mounted inside a punch hole. It brings some features as Auto
Smile Capture that instantly takes a photo when all the faces are smiling, and
of course there are plenty of AI algorithms to improve colors and composition. The
battery capacity is 4,800 mAh and it offers 68W fast charging, and the Moto
Edge 30 Pro will ship with the appropriate charger in the retail box. The phone
also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless power sharing.
The Edge 30 Pro runs Android 12 with
minimal Moto customizations on top. Motorola is launching the Moto Edge 30 Pro
in Europe with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for € 799. Color choices are two -
Cosmos Blue and Stardust White, with sales expected to begin soon. In India the
phone will be available starting from March 4 on Flipkart and in Offline
stores. Pricing is set at INR 49,999, but SBI bank cards get an instant INR 5,000
cashback.
