The new Nokia G21 budget smartphone will reportedly launch in India in February 2022. Ahead of the launch, the phone’s specifications have popped up on the internet. For instance, the report claims that the G21 will house three rear-mounted cameras. Furthermore, the report suggests that the camera setup at the back will include a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Aside from that, the phone will probably feature an 8MP front shooter for capturing selfies and video calls. Upfront, the phone will sport a 6.5-inch display. On the downside, this display will be an IPS LCD, given that the G21 will be a budget offering from HMD Global.
Nevertheless, the screen will deliver a
sufficiently good resolution of 1600X720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
Aside from that, the display could offer a refresh rate of 60Hz. Under the
hood, the phone is likely to pack an octa-core processor. Regrettably, details
about this chipset are few and far between at the moment. However, the word on
the street is that it will come with an Unisoc chipset. Furthermore, the
handset will reportedly ship with 4GB of RAM and offer up to 128GB of onboard
storage capacity. The device will feature a microSD card slot so that users can
expand its built-in storage.
The G21 budget smartphone will offer a
myriad of connectivity options such as a USB Type-C port, Beidou, GLONASS,
GPS/A- GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi. Much to the delight of those who
fancy listening to their favorite music on the go, the handset will feature a
3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, a robust 5050mAh battery will be powering up
the entire system. Details about the battery’s charging capabilities are still
scarce. Nevertheless, the phone could hit the store shelves in two color
options including Dusk and Black.
