Fossil has announced two new smartwatches today - the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and the Skagen Falster Gen 6. Both run on the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ platform and are compatible with Wear OS 3 (which will arrive later via firmware update). The special-edition Razer X Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch is done in collaboration with the gaming brand and is a custom variant of the Fossil Gen 6, which has been around since August.
It comes with two custom-designed 22mm
silicone bands - one in black and one in Razer's recognizable green. The watch
comes equipped with three Razer-themed faces and elements of Razer throughout the
interface. The Razer Chroma face has different lighting effects and is
customizable. The Razer X Fossil Gen 6 has a 44mm stainless steel black case, a
1.28-inch display, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC SE. The sensors
onboard the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 include a compass, altimeter, PPG heart rate
sensor, and a blood oxygen sensor. There are 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM,
paired to the Wear 4100+ chip.
The Razer X Fossil Gen 6 can go for two
days on a charge but charges very fast. It can achieve 80% in just 30 minutes. The
Razer X Fossil Gen 6 is coming later this month for US$ 329 in very exclusive 1,337
units - a number paying homage to Leet.
The Skagen Falster Gen 6 has a 42mm case
size and up to six different styles - silver, rose-gold, charcoal, and black.
There are three band styles to choose from - Skagen's popular stainless steel
mesh, silicone, and leather - all in different colors.
The Skagen Falster Gen 6 has a 1.28-inch
display and customizable dials and buttons. It matches the Razer watch for
built-in sensors and uses the same Wear 4100+ platform with 1GB of RAM and 8GB
of storage. You can also rely on the same impressive charging speed - 80% in
just 30 minutes.
The Skagen Falster Gen 6 is coming later
this month, priced US$295.
