Titan, the premium Indian watchmaker appears to be gearing up to take advantage of the booming smart wearables market in India. According to a tweet by the known tipster Mukul Sharma, Titan is working on a new smartwatch which has been rumored for a long time.
While the name and the launch timeline of
the device are still unknown, the tipster does provide us with an image of this
upcoming smart wearable. The smartwatch appears to boars a round-shaped body,
and touch screen with a black/matte black theming while the straps appear to be
made out of rubber. Additionally, the equipment lying around the device
suggests that it’s still in the testing phase so it may be some time before the
watch makes it to the market.
Unlike Titan’s last smartwatch, this one
appears to be fully digital while Titan’s previous smartwatch, the Titan
Connected X Hybrid, featured a touch screen along with two analog hands. The
Titan Connected X Hybrid featured all the goodies that the latest smartwatches
in the market offer like a capacitive touch screen, message notifications and
call alerts, music and camera control, customizable watch faces, and three days
of battery support. The smartwatch is also packed with health and fitness
features like a heart rate monitor, steps and activity monitor, calorie
tracker, 3ATM splash and dust resistance, and a removable strap that can be
swapped with a spare one made of rubber so as to prevent corrosion and damage.
Stick around for more updates on Titan’s
upcoming smartwatch, as we will make sure to report any notable developments.
