We’ve seen leaks for the Galaxy Tab S8 series for the better half of the past year and the details are getting more concrete with each passing day. The latest details include detailed specifications for the Tab S8 Ultra model.
The screen is expected to measure in at a
spacious 14.6-inches and will offer a 2,960 x 1,848 px resolution. Like past
high-end Samsung tablets, you’ll be getting a Super AMOLED panel and it will
offer a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. The bezels on the Tab S8 Ultra are said to
measure in at a mere 6.3mm but the notch will obscure those readings a bit.
The notch will likely be one of the most
discussed aspects of the Tab S8 Ultra though it will serve the purpose of
fitting two 12MP cameras. The more impressive feat is that the Tab S8 Ultra’s
measurements are said to come in at 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm which would be
impressive given the outgoing Tab S7+ comes in at 285 x 185 x 5.7 mm. The
flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset will be backed by 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM
while storage will vary between 128, 256 and 512GB.
Tab S8 Ultra will house an 11,200mAh
battery that supports 45W charging but it remains to be seen if said charger
will be provided in the box. Its back will house a 13MP main cam alongside a
6MP ultrawide snapper. The software front will be covered by One UI 4.1 on top
of Android 12 and is said to feature a new Extra Dim mode for less eye strain
and a portrait mode version of Samsung DeX.
