Earlier this week, a media report claimed that the OnePlus Nord 2 CE - codenamed "Ivan" - is expected to go official by the end of January or mid-February 2022 and cost between INR 24,000 (US$ 315/€ 280) and INR 28,000 (US$ 370/€ 325) in India. The source also shared the phone's specs, including Dimensity 900 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. Now, the same source is back with a set of OnePlus Nord 2 CE's renders, revealing its design.
Considering the design
and previously leaked specs of the OnePlus Nord 2 CE, it's safe to say that it
isn't an entirely new smartphone but a rebadged Oppo Reno7 SE 5G with a better
camera system, faster charging (65W vs. 33W), and a 3.5mm headphone jack
onboard.
The Reno7 SE 5G
features a triple camera on the rear comprising 48MP primary, 2MP macro, and
2MP depth units, while the Nord 2 CE retains the macro camera but replaces the
main unit with a 64MP camera and the depth sensor with an 8MP ultrawide camera.
And since this is a OnePlus device, it will run OxygenOS 12 (based on Android
12) out of the box, unlike the Oppo Reno7 SE 5G, which boots Android 11-based
ColorOS 12. You can head this way to check out the full specs of Reno7 SE 5G
and Nord 2 CE.
The leaked images
confirm Grey and Olive Green color options for the OnePlus Nord 2 CE, but its
launch date and availability remain unknown.
