The Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S feature in-built GPS and come with heart rate monitoring, step counter, and sleep counter in addition to other activity tracking features. However, both smartwatches pack e-ink displays for longer battery life between the charges.
The Garmin Instinct 2 also has MIL-STD-810 certification, and its grey-ish color model packs a solar panel so that its battery can be charged when under the sun. Like the Epix and Fenix series smartwatches, the Instinct 2 watches also have a total of five buttons each.
