OnePlus 9R, the cheapest smartphone in the OnePlus 9 series of flagship phones made its global debut in India last month, and soon after that, the company launched the same device in its home country China. Now, the top-end variant of the OnePlus 9R, which packs 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, is up for purchase for a price of 3,499 yuan which roughly converts to US$ 539. As for the other models, the 8GB + 128GB model costs 2,999 yuan (US$ 462) while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at 3,299 yuan (US$ 509).
The OnePlus 9R comes in two color options
— Blue and Black. The Blue colored model uses diffused reflection texture on
the back while the Black color uses high-haze AG glass with frosted texture on
the back panel. The smartphone features a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED screen that
offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a
120Hz refresh rate, and has an in-screen fingerprint reader.
The device is powered by Qualcomm
Snapdragon 870 chipset and packs LPDDR4x RAM. The handset offers users UFS 3.1
storage and it is backed by a 4,500mAh battery, which supports Warp Charge 65
fast charging. Coming to the camera department, the phone features a Sony
IMX471 16-megapixel selfie snapper upfront. The rear-facing camera island has a
Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary camera with OIS and EIS support, a
16-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 123-degree FOV, a 5-megapixel macro camera,
and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens.
Unlike the Indian version which runs on
OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, the OnePlus 9R for China boots to ColorOS 11
flavored Android 11 OS. For audiophiles, the smartphone also has Dolby
Atmos-powered dual stereo speakers. It’s noteworthy that the OnePlus 9 series
smartphones in China come with a two-year of official warranty and the pricing
is also cheaper compared to the Indian variant.
