Infinix is trying hard to stay relevant in the smartphone market. Thanks to the high price to performance ratio smartphones, Infinix is now one of the best choices for budget smartphones. Customers liked Infinix Note 7 and Infinix Zero 8 thanks to the decent hardware at an affordable price tag.
Infinix HOT 10T sits in the middle of
previously launched HOT 10S and HOT 10S NFC. The Hot 10T shares a lot of
specifications from these two phones. However, the company has downgraded a few
specifications to bring the price down. Design-wise, the phone looks great. It
has a modern look thanks to the bold square camera module. It also comes in
different color options.
The device features a 6.82-inch IPS LCD
panel. It has a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels (HD+) which is absurd in 2021.
However, the company provides fancy features like a 90Hz refresh rate and a
180Hz touch sampling rate.
Moving to the camera department, the
device features a triple rear camera setup led by a 48MP primary, a 2MP, and an
AI lens. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. Performance is one of the
highlights of the device. It comes with an Helio G70 chipset. The G-series
chipset of MediaTek is famous for providing high graphics power on a lower
budget.
5,000mAh battery provides the juice to the
device with support for 10W charging. 18W would have been better, but hey, it’s
a budget phone. Also, there is a MicroUSB port on the device instead of USB
Type-C. The phone comes out of the box with XOS 7.6 based on Android 11.
The device has arrived in Kenya for now.
It comes in two variants; 4/64GB and 4/128GB. They are priced at Ksh 15,499
(US$ 146) and Ksh 17,499 (US$ 164) respectively. Color options includes Purple,
Black, Green, and Blue. Now at a similar price, there are more options
available like the Redmi 9 which has better specifications.
