The Cubot brand is well known for their affordable solid phone models, offering almost always a very good price / performance ratio. And the new Cubot X50 will solidify that even more, because it’s flaunting a very promising 64MP quad-camera setup. It got officially released today, so it’s certainly a good idea to look at its specs in greater detail.
Let’s take a look at its design first.
Cubot X50 sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ (1080×2400 pixel resolution) display with a
20:9 aspect ratio. And the back cover uses the AG frosted glass material with
special texture to increases the friction and anti-fingerprint qualities.
Elegant black color also gives it a luxurious feel. The smartphone is powered
by the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of
internal storage. And we are also getting a 4500mAh massive battery,
side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC chip or Android 11.
But the highlight of Cubot X50 is the 64MP
flagship quad camera setup. It comprises of Samsung 64MP main camera, 16MP
wide-angle lens with 124.8° angle of view, 5MP macro with 2.5cm close focusing
distance and 0.3MP photosensitive camera with 1A flashlight. At the front you
can find a 32MP camera in the punch-hole for selfies, video calling and face
unlocking. Such photo equipment should make it desirable even for a demanding
users in the camera category.
That 64MP main camera features some AI
advanced software functions too. Like the night mode, which enables users to
capture phots even in challenging light conditions. Or othe face beauty mode enabling
users to capture the most beautiful side of you face.
