Casio has launched the G-SHOCK GBA900. The company's most affordable fitness tracking smartwatch with 200 meters of water resistance. Back in April, Casio launched the G-SQUAD Pro GSW-H1000 with WearOS and color display. It supported over 24 indoor workouts and 15 outside activities like running, road biking, swimming and the like.
Casio has just introduced the latest
member of the G-SQUAD and its most affordable fitness tracking smartwatch yet.
The new G-SHOCK GBA-900 features a case, bezel and band made of resin while the
display is made of mineral glass. Both materials are shock resistant and make
the watch its 200-meter water resistance. The case measures 51.3 x 48.9 x 16.6
mm and weighs 61 grams.
The LCD is illuminated by Double LED
lights. The watch lacks modern staple smartwatch features like blood oxygen or
heart rate sensors but is able to monitor running metrics like speed, distance,
calories, and pace. It also features a pedometer and multi-timing features.
This is done thru the built-in accelerometers. It connects to other smart
devices via Bluetooth via the G-SHOCK Move app. The app also allows users to
quickly transfer and sync your metrics and workout progress between the watch
and your smart device.
Other functions include 5-alarm modes, shock and water resistance, 48-city world time and comes in four colors initially. G-SHOCK GBA-900 price is USD 13. It is now available for pre-order at Casio's website in United States.
