Amazon has yet again refreshed its affordable Fire tablet series and this year the updates are more visible. The top end HD 10 Plus and Fire HD 10 now come with a brighter 10.1-inch FHD+ displays with slimmer bezels as well as an optional Bluetooth keyboard cover.
The regular Fire HD 10 gets 3GB RAM while
the Plus packs 4GB. Storage ranges between 32GB and 64GB with microSD expansion
available on both. Amazon isn’t revealing the exact chipset on the new models
but claims it’s an eight-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz which is the same
explanation we got for the previous gen tablets. The Plus model also brings
wireless charging and a soft touch finish on the back.
You can get both Fire HD 10 models in the
new Productivity bundle which adds the keyboard accessory and a 12 month
Microsoft 365 Personal subscription starting at US$ 220. The HD10 alone starts at US$ 150 for the 32GB trim while the Plus version retails for US$ 180.
Amazon is also bringing new Fire Kids Pro
tablets in 7”, 8” and 10” sizes. These come with the same protective shell as
prior models in several color options. They all bring bundled one-year Amazon
Kids+ subscriptions. The Fire Kids Pro 7 will go for US$ 100, the Fire HD8 Kids
Pro will sell for US$ 140 while the HD10 Kids Pro comes in at US$ 200.
