ZTE’s nubia brand is known for value for money phones as well as RedMagic gaming smartphones. Lately, there have not been any nubia-branded handsets. Instead, we only see nubia-branded accessories. Looks like this strategy will continue as yet another RedMAgic-branded phone without gaming aesthetics appears on TENAA.
A new RedMagic smartphone with model
number NX666J has been certified by TENAA. According to the images including in
the listing, this device may not have gaming aesthetics. The pictures show the
phone in blue color with a quad-camera setup on the back and power as well as
volume buttons on the right side. As per the listing, the handset will flaunt a
6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+). Although
it is not mentioned, we can expect higher refresh and touch sampling rates.
Further, this device will be powered by a
2.842GHz octa-core processor with support for 5G connectivity. It will run
Android 11 and will come with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB internal
storage.
For optics, it will house a 64MP
quad-camera setup on the back and a 16MP centered punch-hole selfie camera on
the front. Other features of this smartphone will include an in-screen
fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and
a 4,100mAh battery (rated capacity). Unfortunately, it will lack a 3.5mm
headphone jack.
Last but not least, the upcoming RedMagic
NX666J will measure 163.04 × 75.34 × 8.20mm in dimensions, weigh 186.4g, and
will ship with a charger. This device has been also certified by WiFi Alliance
but still, there’s no information on its official name and launch date.
