Logitech has announced its newest ergonomic keyboard in China. The ERGO K860 keyboard was launched earlier this year in other markets but has just made its way to China. The keyboard, which connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (wireless receiver), has a curved and split design that is said to provide “ a better typing posture, less strain, and more support”.
The sloping design should reduce the
strain on your wrists and forearms. Logitech claims it has been proven to
reduce muscle activity in the upper trapezius muscle. The keyboard also has a
pillowed rest for your forearms. This pillow rest provides 54% more wrist
support and reduces wrist bending by 25%.
The pillow support is made up of three
layers – a knitted fabric surface layer that is durable, stain resistant, easy
to clean, and smooth to the touch; a support layer made of high-density foam
that disperses pressure; and a comfort layer made of memory foam that offers a
pleasing and personalized give and improves the feeling of comfort and
relaxation. Another feature of the keyboard is the tilted legs under the palm
rest that give your wrists a lift when using the keyboard in a standing
position. The legs can be set to 0°, -4°, and -7°.
The keyboard is available for purchase on
JD.com for ¥ 999 (US$ 153) which is a bit higher than the US$ 130 selling price in
the US.
