Asus may be an important smartphone maker nowadays thanks to the innovative Asus ZenFone 6 and 7 series with a flipping camera mechanism. Also, we need to mention the ROG Phone series that bring devices that are all about hardware and geek-gaming features. Well, Asus made its name thanks to its computing division. For that reason, the company is actively launching new products under its standard Laptop series and ROG series. The Taiwanese firm announced the Adolbook14 in September last year. It was the world’s first notebook with a metal gradient finish. Well, this finish is basically a standard among smartphones, but there aren’t many companies producing laptops with gradient finishes. Today, the Electronics giant decided to launch a new fashionable PC dubbed ASUS Adolbook 13 2021.
The Adolbook13 2021 is a compact notebook
PC that boasts an 11th-gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. The processor is
paired with 16GB of LPDDR4X-4266 memory while there is 512GB M.2 SSD onboard.
The notebook also comes with an upgraded Cicada wing fan which supports
three-speed fan switching. In terms of design, the Asus Adoolbook 2021 features
a 3D metal printing technology. According to Asus, this comes to create a
psychedelic ocean color with gradient metal. The device’s build looks resistant
and it comes with a mirror Asus Logo.
The laptop flaunts a 13.3-inch display
with an FHD resolution. The display also offers a 100% sRGB color gamut which
certainly is a plus. If you love the bezel-less trend, the laptop offers a
screen-to-body ratio of 88% which isn’t bad for a laptop. Moreover, the device
is quite lightweight with just 1.19kg and is 13.9mm thick. Therefore, the
device is thinner, lighter, and has a wider screen ratio than last year’s
Adolbook14.
There are decent options when it comes to
I/O. The laptop offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, an SD card reader, a USB 2.0
port, an HDMI video out port, a USB 3.1 port, and a USB-C port. The number of
ports available isn’t the most impressive, but we have to say that it has a
good variety. When it comes to endurance, the device has a 50Wh battery. It
offers a decent usage but will vary by usage. The laptop is TUV Rheinland
certified and also packs Harman Kardon stereo speakers. So media consumption
here won’t be a problem.
Asus is asking 4,999 Yuan (US$ 766) for the
ASUS Adolbook13 2021. That’s not bad for what it offers, especially if you take
in mind the all-metal build, the gradient finish, and the hardware
configuration. For now, the device is only available from Asus’ Jingdon
Official flagship store in China.
