Apple acquired Beats several years ago to integrate the “premium” audio brand into its portfolio of premium products. The company already unveiled a set of audio devices and true wireless audio devices under the Beats brand. Now, the brand has joined forces with the famous design brand Fragment Design to unveil a new product. The partnership has brought to life the Apple PowerBeats Pro Wireless Headset Special Edition.
The design style of this headset comes to
pay tribute to the ideas of Fragment found and Japanese trend godfather Hiroshi
Fujiwara. The new product is stylish and simple and comes with a pure single
tone. The new Apple Powerbeats Pro is available in Ivory White, Navy Blue,
Glacier Blue, Cloud Pink, Lava Red, and Black colorways. The double lightning
logo is printed on one earplug of the headset. Also, the FRGMT brand is printed
on the other earplug. Interestingly, the charging box also comes with the
signature double flash logo and a set of stickers.
The Powerbeats Pro special edition
earphones are ergonomically designed and internally based on the new Apple H1
earphones. The acoustic structure can output powerful and balanced sound
effects. Moreover, the new hearable is made to bring pure sound quality with
clearer sound and expanded dynamic range.
The company also made the earbuds
adjustable with non-slip ear hooks. The headset comes with four distinct
earplug sizes. the left and right earplugs come with volume and sound control
buttons. However, it also has an automatic play/pause sensor that will detect
whether the earplugs are in the ear. It also supports calls.
For those interested in technical specs,
the earbuds come with Class 1 Bluetooth technology. It ensures a wider coverage
and less signal loss. Moreover, the product comes with a Siri voice wake-up and
can connect to the iPhone with one button press.
Apple promises up to 9 hours of continuous
usage thanks to a great battery. However, this amount can be expanded to more
than 24 hours with the charging box. Moreover, the earbuds support
fast-charging as 5 minutes of charging can ensure 1.5 hours of playback. A
15-minute charge can make them last up to 4.5 hours. As long as you keep the
charging box with you, you will never run without the battery. As you might
expect from an Apple/Beats branded product the new Apple Powerbeats Pro aren’t
cheap. They will retail at US$ 291 in China. The actual sales will open on January
29.
