The freshly launched UMIDIGI A9 is a cheaper version of the company’s popular entry-level smartphone UMIDIGI A9 Pro. The A9 is the world’s first Android 11 smartphone with infrared temperature measurement, featuring a 6.53″ large screen, MediaTek Helio G25 processor, and 5150mAh battery. The phone will start its global pre-sale at US$ 99.99 from Jan 1, 2021.
With no doubt, pure stock Android 11 is
the key selling feature of the new smartphone. Only a very few devices are
running on Android 11 now, and even fewer are the ones priced in the
entry-level range. In such perspective, this is a huge leap for UMIDIGI, going
ahead of other more expensive devices on the software front. And the A9 gains
powerful device controls and easier ways to manage conversations, privacy
settings and so much more, thanks to the latest Android OS.
Another great feature of the A9 is
infrared temperature measurement, the same one you can find in the premium
Porsche Design Huawei Mate 40 RS. It can help containing the spread of the
coronavirus pandemic, because fever is one of the major symptoms of COVID-19.
So the infrared temperature sensor on the smartphone can help immensely in your
daily life. You can check out the video below to learn more about it.
The UMIDIGI A9 features a nice 6.53” HD+
Dot Drop display. The display comes with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and
20:9 aspect ratio. It’s a budget-friendly device with a triple rear camera of
13MP main lens + 8MP ultra-wide lens + 2MP depth lens, and the 8MP selfie shooter.
The phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G25
processor. Which is based on a 12nm process technology with clocks up to 2 GHz
. The phone is available with 3GB LPDDR4X RAM alongside 64GB of storage. The
phone is powered by 5150mAh battery, which can be charged through USB Type-C
port and 10W charger is provided in the box. It also sports an independent
shortcut hardware key for quick controls and a triple-card slot for two SIM
cards and one memory card. And the phone comes with the latest stock Android 11
right out of the box.
The UMIDIGI A9 will start global pre-sale
at only US$ 99.99 from the first day of the new year. You can add it to cart right
now, so you won’t miss the deals. Besides that, the company’s new smartwatch
UMIDIGI Urun S, a cheaper version of Urun (just without GPS) also got launched alongside UMIDIGI A9, and
it will be available in January 2021.
