The Redmi AirDots 2 was announced in June as the third pair of TWS earbuds from Redmi. Back in April, Redmi had announced the AirDots S as an upgraded version of the first-gen AirDots. Now, a new model, the Redmi AirDots 3, is on the way and it has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG. The Redmi AirDots 3 was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website today. The certification page reveals the pair of TWS earbuds has the model number TWSEJ08LS and will connect via Bluetooth 5.0.
Another important info that the certificate
reveals is that the Redmi AirDots 3 will also launch as the Redmi True Buds 2
Pro. It should not be surprising that the product will launch under a different
name as that has become a norm for Xiaomi and Redmi products that are sold in
different regions. What is surprising is that there isn’t even a pair of TWS
earbuds called the Redmi True Buds, so a second-gen Pro model is even more
surprising.
There is no info on the design and
features of the upcoming earbuds. Redmi has not changed the design of its
earbuds since the first generation and there is a chance it may eventually do
so now. Nevertheless, we expect the new model to come with improved audio
quality, better battery life, and maybe even active noise cancelation.
