Samsung launched its second iteration of a foldable smartphone dubbed Galaxy Z Fold 2. Compared to its predecessor, the foldable device arrived with significant upgrades in almost all the aspects. Soon after the global unveiling, the device made its way to markets such as China and India. According to the brand, the smartphone performed better than its predecessor outperforming the original Galaxy Z Fold during pre-orders in markets such as India.
As expected, Samsung partnered with Thom
Browne to launch a limited special edition of the device. For the Chinese
market, the chaebol decided to bring a domestic special edition namely Galaxy Z
Fold 2 Aston Martin limited edition. This new special edition device will only
be up for grabs in the Chinese market. This means that this will not make its
way to other popular regions.
A notable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce),
earlier today, posted about the Aston Martin Edition of the device on its
official Twitter account. Of course, he also gave us an early look at the
device by what looks to be official render images. As you can see in the post,
the device will arrive in a big box that says Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G and Galaxy
Watch 3. For those who’re unaware, the Thom Browne edition, on the other hand,
comes with Galaxy Buds Live. The box of the device also mentions TMall meaning
the edition might be exclusive to the retailer.
Inside the box, you will get a Z Fold 2 5G
smartphone in Mystic Black. As you can see, there is no specific customization
on the smartphone except for an Aston Martin logo. You also get a Galaxy Watch
3 wearable in black color. There is an orange leather Aston Martin case along
with an Aston Martin polo shirt in navy blue. Lastly, you can also see a Black
& White baseball hat.
The Twitter post clearly mentions that the
Aston Martin Edition is indeed designed specifically for the Chinese market.
With that said, there is no official information from Samsung about the
existence of this limited edition Galaxy Z Fold 2. Since it has now appeared on
the web for the first time, we’re expecting more information to surface in the
coming days.
