Xiaomi is a well-known brand in the power bank space just like in the smartphone market, at least in Asia. The company’s power banks have been a go-to recommendation for years now. Currently, the firm’s power banks are in their third-generation. It has been launching newer models in the series for more than a year. Now, Xiaomi has debuted another new model called Mi Power Bank 3 Pocket Edition in its home country China.
As its name suggests, the newly introduced
Mi Power Bank 3 Pocket Edition is more pocketable than other models in the
series. It weighs only 200g (approximately) and measures 90 x 63.9 x 24.4mm in
dimensions. As for capacity, it is rated at 10,000mAh with support for up to a
maximum charging output rate of 22.5W. It also supports other slower charging
speeds such as 18W, 15W, 12W, 10W, and a minimal charging mode for accessories
like TWS, fitness trackers, and others.
Talking about ports, the new Xiaomi power
bank features 2 x USB Type-A for output, a USB Type-C for both input and
output, and a MicroUSB for input. All three output ports support the maximum
22W (PD – Power Delivery) charging threshold. Whereas, the Type-C port can be
also used to fill the battery at the rate of 24W. Last but not least, it is
made of PC (Polycarbonate) + ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) material and
only comes in a single white color option.
The new Mi Power Bank 3 Pocket Edition is
limited to China priced at only 99 yuan (US$ 15). We are not sure if or when
Xiaomi will launch it in other markets.
