Infinix has launched a watered-down variant, Infinix Zero 8i alongside the Zero 8 in Pakistan. The new smartphone comes at a lesser price tag than the former while not compromising on specs like 90Hz display, 48MP cameras, and more.
From the official renders, looks like the
Zero 8i has a similar gem-cut design, specifications, storage but differs in
rear and front cameras. To be precise, it has a 6.85-inch FHD+ display similar
to the Zero 8. It also retains the 180Hz touch sampling and 90Hz refresh rate
which is first ever on an Infinix device. Under the hood, Mediatek Helio G90T
powers the Zero 8i. This is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage exactly like
the Zero 8 and also has a MicroSD slot for expansion. Still, the difference
lies in cameras.
The Infinix Zero 8i houses a 48MP instead
of 64MP as the main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide, two 2MP depth and AI lenses, and
an LED flash. On the front, the pill-shaped punch-hole features a 16MP instead
of 48MP as the main sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens for selfies. All this is
backed up by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Other
features include 10-layer heat dissipation cooling material, TUV Rheinland
certification for high-performance gaming, Smart Turbo V1.0 acceleration
engine.
The Infinix Zero 8i runs on Android 10
with XOS 7 UI on top. It comes in Black Diamond, Green Diamond, and Silver
Diamond color options. The single 8GB RAM, 128GB storage is priced at PKR
34,999 (US$ 214) compared to PKR 39,999 (US$ 244) for Zero 8. Pre-orders will begin
from October 11, and the device will be sold from October 15.
