The Watch GT2 Pro is Huawei’s flagship
smartwatch offering and features a premium blend of sapphire glass, titanium
body and ceramic back. You get a round 1.39-inch OLED display with a 454 x
454-pixel resolution and two side buttons for controls. The watch also comes
with built-in GPS, compass and music playback.
It’s powered by Huawei’s Kirin A1 chipset
paired with 32MB RAM and 4GB onboard storage. It offers tracking for over 100
workout modes including distinct profiles for swimming, skiing and snowboarding
as well as golf. Hikers will also enjoy the route back functionality which can
trace your route’s starting point. There’s TruSeen 4.0+ heart rate tracking as
well as sleep, stress and blood oxygen tracking.
Battery life is said to be 14 days of
typical usage, 30 hours with GPS enabled and 24 hours of music playback. A
quick 5-minute charge brings 10 hours of usage and most importantly it supports
the Qi wireless standard so no proprietary charger here. The software side is
covered by Huawei’s own LiteOS.
The Huawei Watch GT2 starts at € 329 for
the Sport variant and goes up to € 349 for the Classic trim. Both will be available
later this month.
