Gionee continues to release new
smartphones with impressive features and affordable;e retail price. The company
has launched the Gionee M12 Pro, a decent phone with mid-range specs but priced
like an entry-level model.
The Gionee M12 Pro features a 6.2-inch
display with an HD+ resolution of 720X1520 pixels. The display has a waterdrop
notch, bringing a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio, giving users an immersive viewing
experience during gaming and when watching videos. The M12 Pro packs a MediaTek
Helio P60 octa-core processor which is paired with 6GB of RAM. There is also a
large 128GB storage onboard with the option of expanding the storage via
microSD card.
For photography, the smartphone packs a
triple camera setup but the camera module design gives the impression of a
quad-camera setup. It features a square-shaped camera module at the top left
corner. The camera setup consists of a 16-megapixel main camera, a large
wide-angle sensor, a macro camera, while the fourth sensor is actually a
decorative camera. Under the waterdrop notch, there is a 13-megapixel selfie
camera.
Keeping the lights on is a high density
4000mAh built-in battery that should last for a long time. The phone weighs
around 160g even with the big battery. You also get a 3.5mm headphone jack and
dual stereo speakers onboard the M12 Pro.
