Two new Xiaomi products have been
certified by the Bluetooth SIG. The first is the Mi Portable Wireless Mouse 2
which was listed on August 11 and there is the Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker
(16W) that was listed yesterday.
At the beginning of the year, Xiaomi
announced the Mi Portable Wireless Mouse in India. The mouse which costs INR
500 (US$ 7) is a rebadged Mi Wireless Mouse Youth Edition that was announced in
China in 2018. Now a successor is on the way.
The Bluetooth certification page says the
mouse has the model number BXSBMW02 and supports connection over Bluetooth 4.2
and Wi-Fi. There is a chance that the new mouse is also a rebadge of an already
existing product such as the Xiaomi Wireless Mouse 2 that was announced last
November.
Xiaomi may also soon announce a new
portable speaker. The Mi Portable Bluetooth Speaker (16W) has the model number
MDZ-36-DB and connects via Bluetooth 5.0. From the product name, we can deduce
that it has a 16W output. Xiaomi has launched several speakers including smart
ones. The Mi Portable Wireless Mouse 2 should be one of the affordable ones
with a possible price tag under US$ 20.
