Haylou has listed the Haylou LS01
Smartwatch for sale in China again. Priced at CNY 129, the smartwatch has been
listed on Xiaomi’s e-commerce platform. It was crowdfunded for a while at debut
in 2019. Haylou is a brand that is part of the Mi ecosystem and funded by
Xiaomi.
Regardless of the functionality, the
Haylou’s LS01 indeed has the aesthetics of a smartwatch. Weighing in at just 34
grams, the smartwatch has a square-shaped body.
The watch has fitness as well as essential smart features.
A single functional button on the right
and sensors along with charging pins on the back complete the design of the
watch. Regarding the straps themselves, the soft TPU material and porus design
allows for a better airflow. This gives a comfortable wearing experience to the
users.
The Haylou LS01 Smartwatch flaunts a
1.3-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 240×240 pixels. It is compatible
with both Android and iOS operating systems. However, a minimum requirement is Android
4.4 and iOS 9 or higher.
Regarding the features, Haylou says the
smartwatch has 9 sport modes, 24 hours heart rate monitoring, sleep and
exercise tracking. The sport modes include Walking, Running, Hiking, Mountain
Climbing, Spinning, and a few more.
Haylou says the built-in Optical heart
rate monitor when combined with the company’s own intelligent algorithms will
effectively monitor the heart rate for 24 hours without a sweat. The pedometer
and the exercise modes will apparently work in conjunction with the heart-rate
changes so that users can adjust them accordingly.
There are reminders for incoming call,
notifications, sedentary and alarm clocks. The company says the watch will
smartly track your daily life and remind you for daily workout sessions to
maintain a better physique. All these can be customized more in the company’s
exclusive Sport App from a smartphone.
The smartwatch is backed up by a 210mAh
battery and the company claims a 14-day battery life on a single charge.
However, with the heart-rate monitoring turned on, it is expected to drop down
to 10 days. It also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance in
addition to protection against a few sweats and rain splashes.
The Haylou LS01 smartwatch is available
for sale on Xiaomi’s Youpin website and comes in Black and White color
variants. It is priced at CNY 129 (US$ 18) which is slightly higher than the CNY 99
(US$ 14) when it was listed on the crowdfunding platform.
