vivo is launching its new budget
smartphone globally. The new smartphone is Vivo Y30 and the recent country to
receive it is Russia. The smartphone is targeted at a budget price segment. The
highlights of the device are a big battery and higher internal storage. Let’s
see what the Vivo Y30 carries and at what price it comes at.
The Y30 comes with the latest design
language as seen on other smartphones as well. Starting from the front side,
the device features a punch-hole display that Vivo calls “Ultra O screen”. The
device has slim bezels and even the chin is acceptable for a budget device.
vivo usually disappoints in price to
performance segment, but their devices are good looking. Starting from the rear
side, you will get a rectangular housing that houses a quad camera setup. The
camera setup makes the device design look bold, it is present on the top left
corner of the device. While at the center you get a fingerprint scanner and
lastly there is Vivo branding at the bottom. Being a budget-oriented
smartphone, the rear side comes with a plastic build with an eye-catching
design. The device comes in two color options including Dazzle Blue and
Moonstone White.
The smartphone sports a 6.47-inches IPS
LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. There a quad-camera on the
rear side led by a 13-megapixel primary, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel
macro, and another 2-megapixel for depth effect. You will be able to record
videos on 1080p@30fps.
Coming to the selfie camera, there is a
single 8-megapixel shooter present on the punch-hole notch. Talking about the
performance of the device, the Vivo Y30 features Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35
which is based on a 12nm process. PowerVR GE8320 is the GPU that will be coming
with the smartphone. Talking about storage, we have 128GB internal storage and
4GB RAM.
Moving forward to the battery, there is a
5000 mAH battery that can be charged at 10W. The charging speed is low, but
thankfully Vivo used USB Type-C port on the Y30. Out of the box, you will get
Funtouch 10.0 based on Android 10.
The Y30 is priced in Russia starting at
16,990 ₽ (US$ 245). The device is available for pre-order as of now, and with the
pre-order you will get wireless Accesstyle Darkblack TWS headphones as a gift.
You can pre-order the smartphone on Vivo’s official website.
