CHUWI CoreBox

If you are currently looking for a new desktop PC, then you are surely contemplating rather getting some small mini PC model. Because if you are not planning to build a powerhouse gaming PC and your goal is to have just an efficient and tiny device for most of the ordinary tasks, then this is a no-brainer. With mini PC you are saving not just space, but also money and more importantly energy. CHUWI already put out on the market several mini PC models and CoreBox is just the latest one.

And CHUWI CoreBox is really a tiny one with volume of just 2L. The ultra compact metal case has also weight of just 805 g and you can place it either vertically or horizontally. And with the handles on the sides it’s pretty easy to just grab it, making it very easy to transport. The design is pretty minimalistic and all the ports are located just in the back. Speaking of that, you are getting double HDMI ports, 4 USB ports (2x USB 3.0), gigabit LAN port, microphone jack and headphone jack.

Hardware equipment is also pretty solid, even though the Intel Core i5-5257U processor (Broadwell platform) could look a bit dated. But still it’s much better than the prevalent Celeron N4100 processors in other chinese recent products. It comes with very good Intel Iris Graphics 6100, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD disk for storage. You can also expand the storage capacity further thanks to the 2.5″ slot. And wireless connectivity is also pretty good with dual-band ac Wi-Fi module.
