The Amazfit Bip S unveiled back in January
at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has debuted in India. The smartwatch is
priced at INR 4,999 (US$ 65/€ 60) and has four color options - Red Orange, Warm
Pink, White Rock, and Carbon Black.
The Bip S will go on sale starting noon
local time today through online retailers Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra as well
as the company's official Indian website. It will also be sold through offline
stores, which include Croma, Reliance Digital and Poorvika Mobiles.
The Amazfit Bip S is built around a
1.28" Transflective Always-On color touch display. It has a resolution of
176x176 pixels and is protected by the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The
smartwatch comes with two editable watch faces and more than 40 are available
for download through the watch face store.
The Bip S runs Amazfit OS and is
compatible with devices running Android 5.0 or iOS 10.0 and above. It features
heart rate monitoring and is water-resistant up to 5 ATM. The smartwatch
supports 10 sports modes, including swim tracking, and comes with Huami-PAI
Health Assessment System that helps you understand your physical state.
Other highlights of the Amazfit Bip S
include Bluetooth 5.0, built-in GPS, app and call notifications, sleep
tracking, weather forecast, and music control. The Amazfit Bip S packs a 200mAh
battery, which the company claims can offer up to 40 days of endurance in a
basic usage scenario and 15 days in a typical usage scenario.
