vivo is expected to introduce another
unusual camera with the X50 lineup where the four shooters are lined in a 1-2-1
vertical setup. Yesterday we spotted some early images and the specs of the
vanilla Vivo X50, but now the Vivo X50 Pro specs sheet is also online, thanks
to a leaked presentation.
We are looking at a Snapdragon
765G-powered phone with huge screen and 90Hz refresh rate, as well as Sony
IMX598 48MP main camera. It is pretty easy to read the specs, even if they are
in Chinese - 6.56” OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, 8GB RAM and 128/256GB
storage. The single selfie camera, hidden in the upper left corner behind a
punch hole will be 32MP.
The quad-cam setup on the back is truly
intriguing - the main snapper will be accompanied by an 8MP periscope telephoto
shooter, another 13MP camera with 2x optical zoom for proper portrait shots, and
an 8MP ultrawide-angle cam.
The phone will arrive with a 4,315mAh
battery, supporting 33W fast charging. vivo will also bring NFC to the X50 Pro
for payments like the company’s in-house platform vivo Pay and some basic
connectivity. The price of this whole ensemble will be CNY 3,998 (US$ 560/€ 505),
although we аre yet to learn if this is the version with 128GB or 256GB
storage. The launch is scheduled for Monday, June 1, when the last unknown will
be announced - the day of availability.
