The Redmi Note 8 series has already gotten
successors in the form of the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro,
and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. Soon it should be the turn of the Redmi 8 to get a
successor. A little over a week after getting certified by the FCC, the Redmi 9
has also been certified by Thailand’s NBTC.
The Redmi 9 (M2004J19G) is expected to
launch soon in various markets, however, a launch date is still unknown. The
budget phone will have a rated battery capacity of 4920mAh (typical should be
5000mAh or 5020mAh).
A leak from back in March also revealed
the phone will have an Helio G80 processor, four rear cameras in a 13MP + 8MP +
5MP + 2MP configuration along with a fingerprint scanner below the setup. There
is no info on the screen size, resolution, and design but those should surface
in the weeks leading up to its launch.
