The Huawei MateBook 14 launched earlier
this year in China. All the models came with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce MX250
GPU. Now, they are updated with a newer MX350 GPU expect for the base Intel
Core i5 variant with 8GB RAM. They can be now purchased from VMall, Huawei’s official
online store. The new variants of MateBook 14 are basically the same models
with an upgraded GPU. That means they sport the same 14-inch 2K display (2160 x
1440 pixels) with 3:2 aspect ratio and 90% screen to body ratio.
The newer MateBook 14 with Nvidia GeForce
MX350 GPU comes in two processor variants – 10th Gen Intel Core i5 and Core i7
paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. This laptop comes with multiple ports such
as 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB Type-C, HDMI, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Further, it also has a fingerprint sensor for authentication and a pop-up web
camera in the keyboard for video conferencing.
It measures only 15.9mm in thickness and
weighs 1.53Kg. As for colors, it comes in two options – Light Grey and Dark
Grey. Like most notebooks, it runs
Windows 10 out of the box. But also comes with additional Huawei software like
multi-screen collaboration and more.
Last but not least, the Core i5 variant is
priced at 6,399 Yuan (US$ 901), whereas the Core i7 version retails for 7,399 Yuan
(US$ 1,042).
